In 2015, a Director and Deputy Director for the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium were recruited. Now, 3 years later, our centre has 37 employees, 20 of whom are working at CERT.be, the CCB’s operational department.
2018 was a fascinating year for the Centre for Cyber Security Belgium, as no fewer than 9 new colleagues joined the team. Because of the team’s rapid expansion, we moved to Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat 18, where we have a complete building at our disposal.
We are now a valued partner in various networks including CCIV-CCRS, SMART, Cyber Security Coalition, TF-CSIRT, FIRST, etc. The press is also beginning to know and recognise us as a neutral source of cyber security information.
A 24/7 on-call service of CERT.be was extended in 2018. CERT.be is now available 24 hours a day to operators of vital importance, in order to meet a real need and to be permanently ready for national cyber security incidents and crises.
