New employees, new positions!
In 2018, a number of new employees joined the CCB: two external relationship managers, a procurement manager and a new project manager.
The external relationship managers support CCB's national and international relations. They inform everyone in the CCB about what is happening on the outside, and vice versa, and try to create synergies. They are responsible for coordinating the Belgian representation in international cyber security forums, for monitoring international obligations and for proposing national positions in this area. In addition, they ensure coordination between the services and authorities concerned, and the public authorities and the private or academic sectors.
For 2018, the priorities were to follow up the Cyber Security Act negotiations at the Council of the European Union and the implementation of the NIS Directive.
The procurement manager is in charge of the administrative follow-up of the various ongoing public procurements. He is responsible for analysing the often highly technical requirements, for drafting specifications, for overseeing the granting process and for receiving the various tenders. Lastly, the project manager is in charge of a number of international and national cyber projects.
